Granville Plantation Wedding - Logan and Greg
I was overjoyed as a Gainesville wedding photographer when Logan and Greg picked me to shoot their special day at Granville Plantation, just outside of Gainesville, Florida. The plantation's rustic, rural décor provided the ideal setting for their private wedding party.
Logan and Greg started the day getting ready in the bride and groom's suite at Granville. As they prepared to see each other for the first time on their wedding day, the anticipation and excitement were apparent. They picked a "first touch" scenario in which they did not see each other until the ceremony but held hands behind a corner. It was a beautiful and emotional moment that I was honored to photograph.
Portraits
The wedding was held next to a lovely old oak tree, and the pair chose to wash each other's feet in obedience, just as the Bible instructs. It was a beautiful and profound gesture, and it was evident that Logan and Greg adored one other. They exchanged vows, pledging to be together forever, and the love in the room was evident.
Following the ceremony, we photographed the couple on the open field behind Granville. The natural light was ideal, and the rural setting provided for some wonderful photos. Logan and Greg were smitten, and it was evident in every single shot.
Details
Logan's father made a moving speech on how his friend calmed him down after meeting Greg, which was one of the reception's highlights. The pair clearly had the full support and affection of their family, which made for a wonderfully spectacular celebration.
Logan and Greg's first dance as husband and wife concluded the evening, followed by the couple's farewell beneath glow sticks. It was the ideal conclusion to a great day, and I am honored to have been a part of it as their Gainesville wedding photographer.
